This page provides a breakdown of the Museu Nacional’s Egyptian collection, both by type of object and time period. As can be seen below, large parts of the collection consist of shabtis and stelae, as well as funerary objects. Additionally, most objects in the collection date to the later periods of Egyptian history, namely the New Kingdom and Third Intermediate Period, though the collection also includes many artifacts from the Middle Kingdom.
